Chic Boutique

While at Leadership, I attended an "Over the Top" swap.  It was a fantastic event hosted by Barbara Jackson.  The dinner was fabulous, the attendees were friendly, the swaps were marvelous, and the make & takes were lots of fun with quite a variety.  Walking into the banquet room was a sight to see.  The tables were decorated nicely, and party favors were handed out to all of us during our make & takes.  It was an event above and beyond what I had expected.  Here is the easel card I made as my swap.

Here are the flower pins I made for my friends attending Leadership to hang on their Leadership bag to tell the bags apart.  I forgot to take the photos before I sealed them in cello bags, but you can still see them okay.

Flower Pins

I've  had so much fun making these flowers using the Flower Folds Die by Sizzix.  This is an exclusive Stampin' UP! die, item# 115970.

 
The flower above is one of the barrettes I made for my granddaughter.  Although she's not a frilly type girl and doesn't wear barrettes, I gave her some head bands to attach the flower.  She really liked it.

The flower below is a pin that can be worn on clothing and even a purse or tote bag.  Both of these flowers were made using the 3 smaller flowers from the die.

My stamp club members also had the opportunity to make flower pins this month, and they really enjoyed the process. They are quite easy to make, and I must say "addictive", lol!

My Blog has a New Look

The infamous Michelle Laycock has performed another creative masterpiece, my  blog banner, buttons, watermark, sidebar separators, and siggy.  I love the whimsical design incorporating my African Grey parrot Picasso, and the quote "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life"...Pablo Picasso.

Halloween for Ronald McDonald House

I'd like to share with you the Halloween goodies that were made for the Orange County Ronald McDonald House.  We created 154 items for the family members at the house, and for those staying in the family rooms at the Orange and Mission Viejo Children's Hospitals  A special thanks to my team for your support and creativity.  Below is a sampling of the treats.

I'm really enjoying My Digital Studio creating cards, albums, calendars, etc.  Here is the holiday card I chose to send to the SU printer, and I'm anxious to get them in the mail later this week.  The background is Whisper White.  So the white portion of the card doesn't blend into the white background of my blog, I outlined the card in black just to display it better.

Halloween Goodies

Last week I held a Bunco Stampin' UP! Style event, and below is a picture of some of the prizes.  I wish I had taken individual pictures as this isn't the best photo.  I used Basic Black card stock and the Fancy Favor BigZ XL die for the baskets and decorated with Cast-A-Spell designer paper, Batty for You stamp set, and Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.  The Build-A-Bear bag is a small white lunch bag using the Batty wheel and Basic Black ink, along with the Build-A-Bear dies.
